Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I sync with your server?
On the Song detail page, touch the Sync button.

You must be able to connect to a network. If you have an iPhone, you must not be in Airplane mode and you must have a data plan active with your cellular provider to use the over the air cellular network. Otherwise, you must be connected through WiFi to an internet service. See your Apple manuals for details on how to connect your iPhone or iPod touch to a data network.
2. How do I Rate a song?
On the song detail page, touch the Flip Side, button

located in the upper right corner of the Navigation Bar. You'll see the rating indicator. Slide your finger along to ive it a rating of zero to five stars. Sync with the server to add your rating to the ratings pool.

3. How do I submit a song?
On the song list page, touch the add song button

located in the upper right corner of the Navigation Bar. The New Song page will scroll up from the bottom of the screen. Enter the Track Number you rode to and the Title and Artist you think you found for that track number. When you are done, touch the Save button. Remember, you must be inside the Universal Orlando Theme park to submit a song.
4. Why can't I add a song?
You must be inside Universal Studios Orlando in order to submit a song. Otherwise, the
Save button will never become enabled. The App determines that you are inside the park by using the Core Location services of your iPhone or iPod touch device. If you have an iPod touch or pre 3G iPhone that does not have built in GPS radio, you may experience some difficulty in receiving an accurate location reading. Older model iPhone users should have better luck as the Core Location service will attempt to triangulate the location based on cell tower signals, however, iPod touch users are limited to WiFi signals. These may be limited within the park. If you experience difficulty in sending us a song, please go to the contact page and send us an email with the condition you experienced as well as the song you wished to add. We depend upon our users to help keep our data fresh and we want the experience to be as fun and useful to you as possible.
5. Why can't I confirm a song?
You must be close to the roller coaster to confirm (or refute) song information. Otherwise, the
YES and
NO buttons on the Confirm Song Identity page will never become enabled. This is so we can limit this feature to those people who have just ridden the roller coaster. If you are within approximately 30 meters of the entrance of the ride, you should be able to access this feature. If you are seeing a message that says your location cannot be verified, you are either not close enough to the coaster's entrance or your iPhone or iPod touch is not getting a good location reading. **See the explanation for question number 2 above.
6. Why does the App ask me to use Location Services?
The App uses location services only to determine if you are within the bounds of Universal Studios Orlando, and then ONLY when you are attempting to submit a song or confirm a song's information. It never records your location information nor does it send that information to the central server.
7. What new features are coming in future releases?
We have a
lot of new features planned for the next release but we wanted to get this one out of the door and into your hands. The next release is scheduled for about a month from now. See our News page for details.
